Key Features

OFF ROAD RESILIENCE

Built with the toughest materials for the terrain that chews up lesser boots. The tall logger heel keeps you balanced on steep inclines and bites down on slick logs, mud, and loose ground - locking you in when the footing gets sketchy.

PREMIUM BISON LEATHER

With all the range of motion you would expect from a free roaming Bison, it's dense and soft hide wraps your foot like a slipper - and with a staggering 40% higher tensile strength than cowhide. The unique pebbled grain is packed with "plateaus and valleys" that flex naturally with ease.

EXPERT TRACTION

Finished with a Vibram® lug sole in either RedX or Honey, built to keep you planted when the ground fights back. The deep, aggressive lugs bite into mud, gravel, rock, and loose terrain for traction you can trust.

made to make things happen

Heavy-duty performance, and all day support for long days on and off work.

    Real deal work boots

My plantar fasciitis of over 30 years finally went away. This was because it was able to heal because of prolonged rest. The reason I was able to rest my foot was because I fractured my ankle in three places and required surgery. Years ago I was a dock worker and my father put me to work at a young age so I’ve beat up some work boots. Now I’m white collar. I wear Hokas, which have prevented the return of my heel pain. However, hiking boots, even with a home remodel and some yard work, were breaking down quickly. I could just keep buying $240 boots, which in my case is reasonable.

So why the long winded story? The reason I developed a chronic foot injury is because I cheaped out when it was time to replace my running shoes. I think I have little PTSD from snapping my ankle and wanted additional support. These boots are expensive, but used within their scope of design which you can customize, are spectacular. These are my 11.5 C 8 in boots. They support my arch on my semi narrow feet without inserts. The uppers have broken in fairly quickly. The footbed is not quite broken in. I haven’t used the supplied inserts. The build quality is excellent. I’m not a cobbler, but I worked in my dad’s upholstery shop for years. These boots are built like a one ton truck. But they’re more analogous to the current generation of trucks rather than similar trucks of yesteryear. I wish I had these boots when I was moving freight.

When I was shopping footwear, I noticed some of the PNW…

    10/10

I couldn’t be happier! I have over 50,000 steps in the last 3 days and my feet aren’t sore even a little bit. They are also extremely durable, I don’t feel like I will damage them when I’m kicking something into place. I have worn a lot of boots and never have I worn something even close to these. Even my sneakers aren’t as comfortable and DEFINITELY not as durable.

I won’t be buying any other brand of boot ever again. Jk for life!

    Disarmingly Comfortable

I just LOVE JK boots. The customer service, the buying experience, and the boots themselves are all top shelf! I have been a fan of PNW boots for a while now. And recently, I've been able to expand my collection. I have boots from JK, *****, Franks, and ******. I love them all for their own reasons, and I feel each brand (and each boot) has it's own personality and benefits.

Yesterday, I received another pair (my third!) of JKs...the Superduty in Bison.

These have to be the most comfortable PNW boots I've ever worn. Disarmingly comfortable. This is my first pair of bison leather, and they are a revelation. They are so soft, pliable, and flexible. From the first time I slipped in my feet, they feel like they've been broken in for ages. They feel noticeably lighter and more nimble than my other PNW boots...to the point where I almost felt like I was missing out on the "PNW boot experience." Not that it's a bad thing, but rather a thoroughly new experience. I'm glad I'm familiar with the reputation of bison leather because it's hard to reconcile the difference in feel between it and the traditional 8-9 oz leather.

At first I wasn't going to order a pair as I really didn't need another pair of boots, but curiosity got the best of me. And, wow, I'm so glad I pulled the trigger!

These are an EASY recommendation. But I have thoughts on that. On the one hand, I would definitely recommend them for anyone who already owns PNW boots. They are a delightful change up to the experience…
