I wore these for two years and liked them. After trying a few different removable insoles, I finally just removed them altogether and I can now say that I love these boots. Believe me when I say they're meant to be worn without any removable insoles.
I work 60 hours a week on my feet, climbing ladders, working at height and on the ground, and getting 20,000 steps in consistently every day. These things legitimately feel like slippers. They're flexible, supportive, and tough. They've worked in 4 different states, walked me through my first time being a foreman, my first time being a union steward, and everything in between. They've been bashed, scraped, squirted with threading oil and all sorts of crap, bent thousands of feet of conduit, and walked my happy butt from one job to another.
I have some pretty goofy shaped feet, and these boots absolutely changed the game for me. I'm one of the only ones on my crew consistently hitting 60 hours and I genuinely think it's due in part to being comfortable. JK sizing is unique - just be diligent when selecting your size. For reference, I wear a size 12.5 sneaker, 12EE White's boot, and 11EEEE JK Forefront.
My one and only complaint is they squeak. I have not even attempted to correct this quirk because the only time I hear it is first thing in the morning before the other trades arrive on site.
After two years -- I actually just checked -- two and a half years, I'm finally sending them off for a resole. I honestly don't remember…
