Shadow Bison Super Duty. - Awesome Boots.

    Outstanding Boots!

Do I like JK's boots? This is my third pair. All Custom Super Duty, honey vibram, with just one lift in the heels. I wear them every work day, 8 hours a day on extra hard cement floors, and they have saved my hips, knees, and back. They are the most comfortable boots I own, and I own ***** and White's. The JK just fit better, and once broken in are more comfortable.

The Shadow Bison leather is super! Shadow Bison is supposed to be black. It is in interesting shade of black. At a glance they looks black most of the time, but depending on what color pants you are wearing or the lighting, sometimes it looks really dark brown, and sometimes it can look almost a really dark navy blue. That is even after a heavy initial application of Obenauf's oil. I suspect as they age they may loose that quality and look 'more black'. They are very good looking boots, and the bison leather is much softer than JK's normal leather. The stictching and build quality is on par with the best boots on the market. JK's customer service is and always has been superior. It is rare in today's world that you get more than you expect, and these boots hit that mark in quality, comfort and value. Well done - again - JK!

    Don’t hesitate

Do you find yourself wondering if 600 bucks is too much to spend on boots? Do you find yourself going back to the JK website over the course of a year debating what model to get? Did you read reviews both here and elsewhere to see if would be worth it?

I did all of this and more before i finally decided on a pair of brown honey sole composite toe boots.

If you are on the fence about pulling the trigger…don’t. You will not be disappointed in the least. Obviously the quality and attention to detail is amazing. For me, the best part is they only continue to get more comfortable over time.

Thanks JK for an amazing product.

    Mighty fine boots

These are my first real nice pair of boots and they are great. I work daily in the fields farming and these boots keep me going strong. They broke in fast and are comfortable. They did take a while to come in but it was worth the wait. Working with bison, I needed a boot as tough as them and these qualify.

    Real deal work boots

My plantar fasciitis of over 30 years finally went away. This was because it was able to heal because of prolonged rest. The reason I was able to rest my foot was because I fractured my ankle in three places and required surgery. Years ago I was a dock worker and my father put me to work at a young age so I’ve beat up some work boots. Now I’m white collar. I wear Hokas, which have prevented the return of my heel pain. However, hiking boots, even with a home remodel and some yard work, were breaking down quickly. I could just keep buying $240 boots, which in my case is reasonable.

So why the long winded story? The reason I developed a chronic foot injury is because I cheaped out when it was time to replace my running shoes. I think I have little PTSD from snapping my ankle and wanted additional support. These boots are expensive, but used within their scope of design which you can customize, are spectacular. These are my 11.5 C 8 in boots. They support my arch on my semi narrow feet without inserts. The uppers have broken in fairly quickly. The footbed is not quite broken in. I haven’t used the supplied inserts. The build quality is excellent. I’m not a cobbler, but I worked in my dad’s upholstery shop for years. These boots are built like a one ton truck. But they’re more analogous to the current generation of trucks rather than similar trucks of yesteryear. I wish I had these boots when I was moving freight.

When I was shopping footwear, I noticed some of the PNW…

    Very good!

I am very satisfied and impressed by the quality of manufacturing, according to the Branock scale I take 8.5 so with JK's recommendations I ordered 7.5 and the size is just perfect, the ideal is to measure your foot with the type of socks you plan to wear with your boots and given that there is no lining inside the best is to have good merino socks of hiking type which are long enough to exceed the top of the boot.

I took the Super Duty boots, they are really comfortable and gradually take the shape of my feet, the break-in period is not over I have only had them for three weeks and I don't wear them every day but until 'Now everything is fine I can easily work for several hours. When I started looking for PNW boots I was first thinking of ****** boots but while exploring other manufacturers such as ***** boots and JK boots I was particularly attracted by JK, I watched several videos of them, the importance they place on small details, their history, their vision… I found that all of that suited me well. This represents a good amount of money for me given that I am in Canada, the exchange rate plus customs taxes makes a good amount... but I would buy another pair without hesitation because it is far superior to boots made in an industrial way. In addition, I am very happy to support JK boots and their family, thank you.

    Anthony
