Pick up an extra set of tongue guards for your boots, or swap them out for a different size/color of your choosing! Made from the same oil tanned 8-9oz leather as your boots, the tongue guards are designed to provide additional protection and support to the foot and ankle by helping to distribute the pressure and force of the laces evenly across the foot. This will, in turn, prolong the life of your boots as the laces won't wear through the soft leather of the gusseted tongues on your boots. 

*pro tip, if your boot uppers touch when laced up, opt for a taller tongue guard to "soak up" the extra space. This will simply add material between the laces, and allow you to tighten the uppers more than usual.
