The Toughest Work Boots for the Harshest Jobs
“Tough boots“
★★★★★"These have survived 3 weeks at the steel mill welding/fabricating heavy equipment 10-13hrs a day. Not one stitch frayed or popped. Tough boots for one of the harshest environments you can put boots in. "
“Immediate comfort and exceptional durability “
★★★★★"Overall a great boot. Almost zero break in and was able to take it onto a 11 hour hike with only 3 days of wear! Everything ached after the hike except for my feet. Walked through streams, brush, climbed sharp rocks and more. The bear slayers really held up with no notes of wear. Will definitely be ordering from JK boots again in the future!"
“OT Pro comp Toe 6 month review“
★★★★★"The OT Pro boot has certainly shown me how tough it is. After 6 months I can say this is a very tough boot. I was concerned with how the toe would last with a composite toe and it still has not broken the leather. I’ve regularly put 60-84 hour weeks on these boots and they’ve stood up to the challenge. I would say its toughness is its greatest attribute and it is decently comfortable. I do have a problem with hot spots on my pinky toes when I’ve been walking a lot during a day and the boots lost their waterproof within around a month of wearing them. There was a small break in period of around a week and I had an issue with lace bite. But after they were broken in the lace bite went away. Overall they have stood up to heat, sparks, uneven terrain, and dusty dirty environments very well. Looking forward to purchasing a 2nd pair and rebuilding these. I would likely buy a size wider boot next time"
“Great boots! “
★★★★★"Where are you from? England UK
What size should you go for? I went for a full size down but they were on the small size so went for a half size down and they are perfect.
How do they fit? I have flat feet and was worried about the high arch but after a few days of breaking them in, they are perfect. In fact, when I take them off and put my slippers on, that's when my feet hurt. Perhaps JK can make that a new line? Worlds toughest slippers? 😂
Are they warm? Yes, but you just start feeling the chill around -2 Celsius with thin socks on.
Do they get too hot? No and they seem to vent well too.
What is the quality like? Good, but you have to respect that they're hand made and hammered together at high speed so there are differences between the left and right boot, but they're comfy and look good all the same.
What is the heel like? Heel feels good and adds a bit of height so you do start knocking your head on things which you didn't before 🙄
What job do you have? Mechanic and work on cars
Are they overkill? Yes and no. They're probably a bit much for what I need but I'm sick of boots falling apart.
What is the customer service like? Skylar is a beautiful human being and is the perfect example of what customer service should be like. She deserves a raise with my endless questions!
Is the bison leather worth it? Yes! It's buttery soft and I've accidentally smashed them into loads of stuff and not a single mark on them.
Would you buy another pair? Honestly, I don't think I will ever need to as I think they will outlast me. Also can't afford another pair right now!"
“Tree removal “
★★★★★"These boots are fantastic in wet gravel and clay, did good in snow, and stayed dry..
I've only used them for 1 week but they're already extremely comfortable, and I love them"
“Bravo!“
★★★★★"VERY well made! In other shoes I wear an 11W (Brooks, Merrill). I ordered an Archer in 10 1/2 3E, and although I love them, I should have followed the sizing advice and gone down a full size. These fit perfectly. They are built like tanks, and will make the perfect hunting boot for the woods. The leather is heavy, the stitching is strong, and the pair just reeks of craftsmanship. A good, solid boot, that I expect to have for a long time. "
“Great Boot“
★★★★★"So far these boots have been great! I’ve had them for about a month now. It took a couple weeks for them to break in, but that’s expected and even during the break in period they were still comfortable, just needed to adjust tightness from time to time. I have degenerative discs in my back so good support is critical for me and I haven’t worn a pair of boots with better support. I genuinely enjoy putting them on every morning. If you are like me and not sure because of the price, pull the trigger, in my opinion it’s definitely worth it! "
“2 week review “
★★★★★"I’m about two weeks into my break in and my OT pros have been getting more comfortable by the day. The one area that is still uncomfortable is where my steel tow starts right above my toes, it’s rubbing on the top of my toe at the crease.. it’s been getting better though. I’m a millwright at a mining facility, large rock and mud in the quarry, thick dust and granules in our mill and concrete/paint pigment in the colorplant. 8-16 hours a day. The boots i used to buy were thorogood and i wore them for years and would get about 1.5 years out of them a few years ago, The last three thorogoods i’ve gotten have started delaminating and pulling apart in under a year, and last pair i got lasted 3 months until the sole pulled off… a couple coworkers have tired the JK boots and i was skeptical at first because of the price point but i watched a ton of there youtube videos and finally decided to pull the trigger on a pair.. If i can get over 1.5 years before a rebuild then they will definitely be worth the price for me.. I’m going to write another review after they’re completely broke in but as of now i am very happy with the quality and feel of my new boots. Also they’re customer service is great and they email me back working 1 day.. "
“Jk Boots“
★★★★★"Working in the woods fighting fire, logging and climbing I need my boots to be able to handle the terrain and weather year round. Jk boots are the only boots I can rely on to keep me on my feet. "
“Amazing hand crafted boots“
★★★★★"Really impressed with the handmade quality of these boots! Always surprised how they get them so even left to right! Not much I don’t like about these boots. The break in nicely and get better with age! However the supple leather helps accelerate the break in period! Comfortable and wearable for long durations. Definitely a purpose built boot! And if that purpose matches yours, it a perfect match! "
