The JK Boots Superduty: Built to Work as Hard as You Do
When it comes to a serious work boot, there's few that can match the Superduty. This is the boot that built the JK Boots brand. It's a handcrafted, American-made workhorse trusted by farmers, welders, ironworkers, diesel mechanics, HVAC technicians, and everyone in between. If you're on your feet 12 to 16 hours a day in demanding conditions, the Superduty was made for you.

How the Superduty is Built
Starting out, we use 8-9oz premium leather, with smooth uppers and roughout lowers. We use roughout for the lowers because it's a lot more durable and abrasion resistant. You can scrape it all day without cutting through it.
It also comes at a 10-inch height providing exceptional ankle and calf support. This height also provides great protection especially for anyone running a chainsaw or in any situation like that. On the inside of the boot, it has a 9-iron leather insole. When people say the boot molds to your foot over time after breaking it in and feels like a glove it's because of this insole. Over time if you place your hand in it you can actually feel the shape of your foot. This is the result of that really high quality leather grade insole.

Beneath all this sits a 12-iron full leather midsole that goes all the way from the heel to the toe of the boot. It's flexible enough to climb and bend while still rigid enough to support you like a platform all day long. For the sole it comes with the Vibram Red X with a logger heel. This is a very tough sole rated for chemical, fire, and heat resistance. It is stitched with two rows of Technora fire-rated thread (virtually no melting point) and reinforced with screws. It's almost impossible for the soles to come off.
What Makes It Stand Out?
A lot of work boots last only six to nine months of heavy use. The Superduty is designed to last six or more years. It's made to be resoleable and fully rebuildable so that really extends the lifespan. This is the old-school philosophy behind it: build it right once, then just maintain it without having to replace it.
The classic logger heel adds balance and traction on uneven ground, while the all-leather arch support lowers any fatigue in long shifts. Many of our customers have reported relief from back pain, knee pain, and swollen ankles after switching to a properly fitted pair. This is really because of the orthopedic quality that comes with the design.
Who is this for?
The Superduty has been worn all the way from oil drillers in North Dakota, auto mechanics right here in Spokane, and other workers across almost every trade. It's really popular for a very good reason. Whether you're in forestry, manufacturing, agriculture, or any field or even hobby where your boots take a beating.

The bottom line is the Superduty is a precision tool that is handmade using time-tested techniques, built from high-quality materials, and designed to be resoled and worn for a very long time. It represents a fundamentally different approach to work footwear. Buy once, buy right.
