Switching to JK Boots: 10 Customers Who Left Their Old Work Boots Behind
The boots these customers left behind ranged from well-known, widely available brands to some of the most respected names in handmade boots. Either way, a pair that fits and has worked for years is hard to walk away from. These ten did it anyway, some after decades, and they explain what made JK boots different.

Spent his life in two classic work-boot brands, and says he won't buy either again.
"The headquarters were easy to deal with and as far as quality of boots is 5 stars!!! I was always a thorogood, and red wings kinda guy all my life. Now at 50+ yrs old, I don't think I will be buying another pair of thorogood or red wings. I will stick with JK BOOTS."
Thirty-plus years in one brand for work and home, now on his third pair of JK Boots.
"I've lived in redwings for 30+ years as my boots for work and home. Your superior products ruined that legacy, great job building boots that fit and are comfortably durable. I'm on set three which I rotate from work to going out."
Years in another brand's boots, then the most comfortable pair he's owned.
"These are hands down the most comfortable boots I've ever owned! I've worn Wesco's for years and they aren't even in the same ballpark as the Superduty's. If these boots hold up, I don't ever see me buying a different brand."
A lineman comparing his Superdutys with the boots he climbs in.
"Best boots I've ever owned! I'm a lineman in South Carolina and the quality, comfort and fit well surpasses the Wesco boots I climb in and it's got me thinking of buying a pair of climbing boots from jk!"
Owns boots from three other makers, and ranks his O.T.s above all of them.
"Best boots I've owned. I have Danner, Halls safety boots, Origin Maine boots and these JK OT blow them all out of the water. I plan on buying a pair of custom bison lace to toe OTs or super duty's next."
A warehouse worker who started with the 300, then bought the O.T. and a Forefront.
"I work in a warehouse and they have saved my feet and it sounds cliché and made up but they are durable supportive and they look great. I've had many brands from Thorogood, Timberland, Red Wing, Irish Setter, even Thursdays. These are the best by far... I wasn't paid I bought these myself and I no longer feel as tired when I get home and kick my boots off. Thank you JK."
Compares the 300X with two longtime brands, and expects it to last a decade or more.
"Incredible value, high quality material, and hand made. These are just a notch below the impeccable level of JK's traditional professional trades lines. From what I've seen and felt so far, as well as my experience with other brands like Danner and Red Wing, these JK 300's will last a decade or more for the casual outdoorsman."

Compares the lighter 300 with two other makers' boots he already owns.
"...after only 2-3 full days of wearing them they were starting to feel right and look good. I hate the look of any new boots and try to beat 'em in quickly but the 5oz Redwood leather broke in super quick and with no toe structure look great. Comparable or even superior construction quality to the White's I've owned in this price range. Not as tough as Nick's I own that are more expensive but I'm sure that the Forefront or Super Duty would be just as robust if that were what I was looking for. I wanted a lighter casual/work boot that is tough but easy to wear and 3 days in these seem perfect."
Started having problems with his old boots, and stopped by the Spokane shop on vacation.
"I was starting to have issues with White's boots, so I gave JK a try. Very glad I did, I was driving through Spokane on a vacation so I was able to go in. They are a very nice family ran business and know what they are doing and will treat you right. I'll forever be a JK customer."

A lead-time hiccup that JK made right, and a difference from his old boots he calls huge.
"Had some hiccups with the lead time, but they refunded me the shipping and overnighted the boots to me, free of charge. They look absolutely amazing, and are by far the best boots I have ever owned. The difference between these and Carolinas or Georgias is huge. Would absolutely buy again."
Whether they came from a lifelong favorite or a rotation of different brands, these customers all had the same thing to say. They found a fit, comfort, and build quality they could count on.
