"Without a doubt the lightest break in of a Pacific Northwest boot. I won’t say their is zero but close to it if you massage the leather like a baseball glove with some Bick 4 while watching tv or chilling out it is considerably less. I used Iron Lace brand laces so there is zero stretch forcing the leather to give in faster with a 2-1-3 lace pattern for a week. Another great US company with a lifetime warranty on the laces and a 1500 pound break strength. You could literally tow your truck with them. Pair that with a third US company in Darn Tough Socks.

Back to the boots, I can not say enough good things about them. My toes are not cramped in the safety toe which is rare with my extra wide foot, and zero blisters with good wool socks. My only minor minor negative is the weight, however, they are work boots not something for the “city” person that wears boots as a fashion statement although they can be. These are made to be used and abused and to hold up to anything you can throw at them.

My advice to anyone is spend the money your feet will thank you. I have went from not being able to get my work boots off fast enough when I got home and hobbling around like an old man when off work to with these my feet not hurting at all. I am on my feet 14-16 hours a day between working and the farm with zero foot pain. My JK boots are my daily wear shoe of choice now even when off work. I have had several PNW boots and custom roper cowboy boots in my lifetime and these are hands down the most comfortable. If I am working on the farm or at my regular job I can see them lasting for years. Now I just need another pair so I can alternate between the two. Bison are my next purchase without the safety toe to wear around the farm. Just wish JK made a roper with a v bar sole.

The customer service was excellent and my boots arrived ahead of schedule. UPS did hold them up some locally however that was NOT the fault of JK and completely on UPS. A quick drop in at my local UPS hub and complaint on the driver I watched go past my house and not stop but said he did had that handled within a day. I think someone wanted some new boots since the box was taped a second time and had been cut open once.

I put the Spenco insoles in them for the first week until the footbed started to give some but have since taken them out. After putting a dime size drop of Bick 4 on the leather insole then wearing them they are no longer needed and have conformed to my foot.

In summary one of the best purchases I have ever made and JK has a customer for LIFE. I never leave reviews so let the length of this one be a testament to the quality and service of this awesome product and company. If you are debating buying just stop the debate, go ahead and checkout of your shopping cart on the website. After that get ready to step into the most comfortable boot you will ever own."

“First pair of handmade boots“

★★★★★

"I had a difficult time in deciding which boots to order, this is my first venture into high-end handmade boots. I have become accustomed to the logger style so I went for the super duty, knowing that it was more boot than I need. I have had my boots for just over two weeks, and finally broke down and oiled them up. I knew that the leathers would darken, but they looked so darn good right out of the box that part of me hated to do it!
Second day, post-oil and I can tell they are beginning to break in. It won’t be but a month or so more before they will feel like an old friend on my feet. I drive a semi, and I’m in & out of the truck a lot each shift. The initial stiffness of these boots is a bit of a shocker, but I am impressed by how good they feel, many hours into my days. The videos available are a huge help, the maintenance/ treatment ones especially.
It’s truly a different world, if you haven’t experienced it yet- get off the fence and order yours! You won’t regret it.
But- now I’m back in the same predicament, I can’t decide which flavor to order next! I have a feeling that’s going to be an ongoing problem, lol!"

“You deserve 👏 a pair of these“

★★★★★

"Bought two pairs of Superdutys [one set soft toe by accident]... anyways these are the 5.5 wide steel toe
MORE time was spent on polish station... (burnishing the edges) than the first pair... 😘 who ever did this...@ JK boots... I love you... ❤️ it was a nice touch...
Boots already saved my toes.... working in the pipe yard... had a pipe drop on em...
The leather isn't like other brands... no fluff... just fact... it feels like I'm wearing T-Rex leather...
Also I herd CEO's story... He is from Ukraine 🇺🇦
So I didn't mind buying a second pair.... I intend to get a pair of O.T.'s in the future....
Money 💰 well spent.... as a litmus test I bought a pair of Palladiums... polar opposites... in terms of build... I had toes sticking through the upper in 3 months due to wear... not tear... (palladium told me, "we don't build work boots")
I'm just saying... these boots (JK) aren't cheap cost wise... but in the long run you will save considerably more money.... due to their longevity...
Sometimes in life you can get both beauty and functionality... this is one of those cases..."

“Great product and customer service. “

★★★★★

"I've had my new Superduty for long enough for the uppers to start feeling broken in.

I am overall very happy with the product and the customer support. I ordered some in stock boots and I was contacted that the brown boots were about 2 weeks or less out from being finished in the size I ordered. I asked to change colors due to some time constraints I had needing new boots and they shipped me a black pair that arrived shortly thereafter.

The sizing is great, I've only had mild discomfort around my ankle while the upper was loosening up. I tied them differently for a few days and oiled the uppers a few times to soften them up a bit quicker - happy to report that after ~2 weeks they're feeling great. I'm excited for the footbeds to get molded to the soles of my feet, I have quite a few pairs of traditionally constructed casual boots and if these feel near as good fully broken in I'm going to be ecstatic!

Thanks for a great product!"

“Builder in northern vermont“

★★★★★

"I got my super dutys about a week ago, I have O.T. pros for general work and forefronts for roofing and summer time, the Superdutys I just got I use for tending my beef cows and at work building large dairy barns here in tip top of Vermont, each has pair of jks has its own special use and I just love the comfort.
Before JKs I was buying 3-5 pairs of boots per year just to have boots that were not ripped out.
I can promise anyone that if you try jk boots you will not go back to the rat race of commercially sold garbage ... JKs are the best most comfortable, durable boots that you can still wear to a nice dinner after work.... and trust me.... you will!

“Great at first, better with time.“

★★★★★

"I'll start by saying, these were my first pair of boots in my size (7.5 5E-6E). Immediate thoughts were great (foot wasn't getting smashed anymore). Break in was long, as expected, now that's over with, I never knew footwear could be so comfortable. I was always a barefoot guy, but now I prefer my boots over anything. Im a tinner (notoriously hard on boots), and have worked in these in almost any condition you can imagine, mud, 6 inches of water, grain, rock, and miles of stairs and grating, and these boots shrugged it all off like nothing. JK, you have earned a lifetime customer, so please keep doing what you're doing!"

“Solid boot with durable materials.“

★★★★★

"I haven't gotten a chance to put much wear on these boots yet but the few times I have worn them they have felt great. They definitely need a bit of break in but I expect they will be the most comfortable boots I own before long. The build quality is superb, the materials used feel great and seem quite durable. They are also just a great looking pair of boots. The honey sole is great, not too soft but not rock hard either. I plan to update this review once I have gotten a do some hunting and logging in them. Also shoutout to JK, great packaging and lots of nice things and good information in the box."

“Very satisfied. First pair of JKs.“

★★★★★

"This is my first pair of JKs. Went with the honey for comfort, standing and walking on metal catwalks and concrete floors in a lumber mill. Been about 3 weeks now and the break-in period has been very minor and reasonable. Went with a size 10, 5E per the sizing guide and I have never had a better fitting boot. Could have potentially done a 9.5 but would have needed a 6E to avoid rubbing on the outside of my foot where the composite toe-box starts. Over all I am super happy with my purchase and I know I'll enjoy these boots for years and years. I'll definitely get another pair in the future."

“Very high quality, comfortable boot.“

★★★★★

"Within three days of oiling they were more comfortable than my redwings ever where. (Which is important because I spend the majority of my life in them…). Work in the railroad industry so I walk on uneven dirty slick conditions and have to deal with oversized ballast because the company is too cheap to by legal sized. I haven’t felt a bit of it. The only comment I would make is the shape of the sole between the pad and the heel has a lump in it, which is awkward when planting your heel against a rail."

"I do lawn care in WV so have to weedeat a lot of steep banks and thats were these bad boys really shine they have been the best boots I've ever owned hands down and the comfort is unmatched the boots literally mold to your feet I've had issues my whole life with finding shoes that are wide enough for me but with jk they have so many options for sizing you can get the right size for your foot and not have to settle for what the big box store has on its shelf"
