Ordered a size 11D, found them a bit big, and says wool socks made the fit perfect.

"FYI for sizing. I normally wear 11.5 in sneakers. I ordered these in 11d. They fit a bit big, however, with wool socks, it is a perfect fit. So, there is a minor compromise to be made but I'm ok with it. I intend to wear these daily, they're awesome."

Suggests playing with the lacing, oiling the boots and wearing two pairs of socks at first.

"First thing is these boots were quick to break in. Your heel really locks in. This is their lightest boot. But it’s built solid and surpasses any work boot at the price. My advice is play around with lacing and oil them. I also wore two pairs of socks for the first couple of weeks."

Found out the hard way that the way you lace matters.

"Make sure you lace them right though. I had them laced wrong for the 4 days of work and I was getting a weird pressure where my ankle and foot meet. I took a look at them and realized it was how I laced them. ... You want the lace to go up and through the eyelet. I learned if you did it the opposite way it will kink the leather in a weird way. With that being said I'm very happy with these boots and plan on getting another pair when I get the money."

Says to follow the directions that come with the boots.

"Love them. Break in has been a bit more involved than what I'm used too. Just follow the directions sent out with the boots and go from there. My boots are getting more comfortable everyday."

"These are great boots. Super comfortable out of the box, sizing was just right. With a nice pair of wool socks, I can wear these and be on my feet the whole day. The last is great, wonderful arch support. I'm very happy with my purchase and the whole JK experience. If you're thinking about buying a pair, do it, I love mine."

Says the fitting guide was a big help, and oiled his boots the way JK shows in its video.

"These boots are super comfortable and the quality is great. The leather is really soft and strong, and your fitting guide was a great help for me. I oiled them with the Obenauf's liquid oil how you show it in your vid, and now they are perfect for me."

The advice in these reviews comes down to a few simple tips: trust the sizing guide to find your size, the right pair of socks can go a long way, take a second to lace your boots right, and follow the directions that come in the box to care for and oil your boots. One owner followed our own oiling video and said his boots came out perfect. A work boot has to fit just right, and a little care keeps it going for years. Ready to find your fit?
