JK Boots Forefront Review: 10 Real Workers on This Premium Work Boot

"I’ve gone through a lot of work boots from the big brand stores. I got tired of them lasting at the most 6 months before being completely blown out. I did a lot of research on PNW boots. Took me a handful of months to finally pick one. Very glad I went with JK, customer service is AMAZING! Every question I had before the purchase, was answered with great detail. I waited a little over a month to get my pair. Upon arrival I was very excited. I was super OCD about the fitment when I first tried them on. I had some pressure in my heel that I haven’t had with other boots. I was hesitant on wearing them outside or oiling, just because once either of those are done you cannot return/exchange them. For me these boots had a high price tag and I was concerned if something was wrong I wouldn’t be able to exchange or return. Nonetheless, I once again received great customer service when I called and explained my situation. With the guidance of JK I went for it and “trusted the process”. After a few days of work the pressure in my heels were gone. I’m almost two months into wearing these boots and they are top notch. Amazing quality and they feel amazing. I’m a mechanic, and I’m on my feet to 8-10 hours a day. These boots are a breeze to work in, so comfortable. The initial break in process was uncomfortable for maybe a couple days, but everyday they continue to feel great. I will never by another brand of boot again. These look amazing, feel amazing, and are amazing. If you’re on the fence about buying these boots, you shouldn’t be. You will not regret buying JK.

"I have extremely wide and flat feet. 11.5 8E and high arches murder my feet. I bought an off the shelf pair of Forefronts just to check them out and the arch was aggressive enough it cause the arch in my right foot to pop. So I returned them and worked with JK to make a custom pair for me. They dropped the arches. I went from not being able to wear them for 5 minutes to wearing them all day every day out of the box. On top of that I was having pain in my right knee and within a few days it went away. Unfortunately my feet are weird, the left boot broke in fine. The right boot the arch was still a little too aggressive and after a month my toes started to go numb. So I got to thinking and with the wedge sole there is nothing but solid (ok it's rubber) material between the arch and the floor. I could see the wear on the bottom of the boot under my arch. So i took a sander and started to remove material slowly under where i could see it abrading under my arch. I was finally able to get that arch to break in. These get a 5 star from me, JK was extremely accommodating, the boots are build fantastically well, they provide tons of support, lots of stability climbing around on equipment. It's not JK's fault my feet are weird. I do wish they would offer a service like 3D foot scans and imprints, I'd pay darn good money for something like that."

"Having worn boots for work over the past 21 years I know the pain of buying a pair and busting them up in a couple months, or crossing your fingers they last til that one year mark. I did what everyone did and went down the YouTube/Reddit rabbit hole and I ended up on JK Forefronts.

I could not be happier with my purchase. They took about 3 weeks to fully break in with 2 of those weeks being daily wear for about 9-11 hours at a time. Every time I put them on they are more comfortable than the last. Trust their sizing and knowledge, they know what they’re doing. It feels great to buy a boot that is quality, built to last years and years rather than hopefully months. "I love these boots. I came from thorogoods before this. They lasted 4 years and I had them re soled 3 times. I work on my feet for long hours. I'm either on the concrete, on a ladder, or in an attic or crawlspace. The arch support took about a week for me to get used to and they are still breaking in but they feel more comfortable each day I wear them. I hope I get more longevity out of these. The only complaint that I have is that the uppers on the right boot were slightly thinner than the left. I did not notice it until recently so I don't believe they are covered by any warranty. I hope this doesn't affect the rate in which they wear. Only time will tell. So far they are the best boots I've worn so far."

Of course there is the break in process, which I love to do, the wedge is very soft and cushiony, making them very pleasant on walks. Nice addition to my collection. "I have 1 pair OT Pros and love them but my Forefronts are what dreams are made of.... I have been off work for 4 hours and my boots are still on my feet... they are the most comfortable things I own... iam a builder/ roofer of 25 years amd weigh 290lbs iam 6'2" tall and the boots make it possible for me to comfortably run the roofs daily.... they are a mainstay for me, period."

"Have a pair or the Superduty Honeys and now these Coyote Forefronts love these boots so much once there broke in about a week or two into wearing them there like walking in tennis shoes so comfortable will not step foot into another pair of boots! "
