JK Boots 300 Reviews: Lightweight Yet Durable Work Boot

"On average, over the past 8 years, I have consumed about 1 pair of boots a year. I am not an expert on boots but having gone enough pairs over the last 8 years, I have compiled boot research and have tried 4-5 different book makers. I also grew up and live in large state that places a significant part of its identity on boots (and large hats for that matter).
The boots I purchased from JK are a really good pair of boots and the first pair of theirs I have used. They have been a pleasure to wear everyday for a month in different terrain and weather conditions; rain, mud, rocks, hiking, general construction and in an automotive shop. The boots have been successful in all aspects.
I am glad that I spent the extra dollars on these boots: 1.) The boots are a great partner at work, you gain confidence in your workwear. 2.) The boots can be sent back to JK for repair by someone who cares about boots. 3.) JK Boots seem like genuine dudes who really really like to make boots and I'll always support that type of enthusiasm/craftsmanship.
The 300 boots are one of the least expensive boots that JK offer. I am not sure how they add this much quality in a boot, charge what they do and still make a living. I wonder how well the boots that cost more from JK are made considering.
And for anyone who is nervous about sizing, I wear a 11.5-12, went through JK's sizing guide and the fit is right on. I also ordered the laces that are cured in resin. They were sticky at first but have dried out since.
Candidly, I feel that a review with no negatives is all hype and no sauce but I really am having a hard time finding a negative to reports at this time. Just a solid pair of boots. "

"With respect I am not a Firefighter or a Logger. I live in the Northern US and work in an office next to a loading dock in a large facility. I am Joe Six Pack that just wanted to get some good boots. I went down the Internet/You Tube rabbit hole, and this is where I landed, and I am sure glad I did. I was sketched out by the sizing, real world I am 12 W in JK's the guide called me a 10.5 W of course they were right because they are legit craftsmen & women. This was also pricey pair of boots for me, so I wanted to wear them inside for a bit before I oiled them. I could tell the length was correct immediately but was tight around the arch and top of the foot. I knew these needed to be broken in a bit. After a few hrs. I could tell these were going to work just needed some time, so I went ahead and oiled them up. The next day when I slipped them on, I could not believe it, the arch and tight foot were completely gone. It was so comfortable it was crazy. I realized these are only going to get comfier as time goes on, but I got to admit it was way beyond my expectations, in fact they were blown out of the water. I can't thank team JK enough for these boots. Customer for life/Part of the Family either way I am glad I made it to the Party. I hope you come too. "

"I am waiting for two pairs of OT boots to be made for me. In the meantime I got these 300 boots while they were in stock. So I could test the fit and see what I should be expecting. I’m now in the process of tossing out most of my tennis shoes because I can’t take these off my feet! They were snug out the box, and tight over my instep. After two weeks around the house and a few days outside, they fit like a glove! My standard shoes size is a 11.5, and width is 9 7/8s. I used their system and got the recommended size. 10.5 D and the fit is just about perfect after they have broken in. These are now my new every day boots. The unruly tongue is so soft and conforming it’s almost like it’s not there. The arch support and foot bed start out very hard at first then become so soothing and comfortable. You can wear these everywhere! I have dressed these up and down. I need more colors! And would love some shorter and taller sizes! "I have been wearing my 300s for a couple of months now, and I really am so impressed. The look and feel of them just sings quality. I went for the 300s as my first JKs as a try-out - I needed to get a good feel for sizing; and, to be frank, decide whether they were worth paying the extra import taxes it takes to get them here to England. They have not disappointed. For the Summer they have been just right for working across our woodland, orchard and meadows. But come the rains they'll go away ... by when my OTs should be here to take over ... till Spring comes around again. Happy, happy days."
